Marsden March - Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton - Sunday March 11th

The Marsden March is a sponsored walk from the Marsden in London to the one in Sutton. When we were invited to play for this event I felt that we owed it to the hospital to perform, after all they had done for Joanna. Over 3,000 people took part and there was a real fun carnival atmosphere. A huge professional stage had been set up for the performers, which was quite intimidating for our first gig of the year, but the band played well and we received some lovely feedback from people in the audience. It was the first time the band played "Clocks" by Coldplay.

It was a glorious sunny afternoon as well and the artificial grass, deckchairs and sunbrellas provided a lovely "party in the park" feel.

Masonic Centre - Guildford - Sunday May 6th

The father of one of my Dawnay pupils invited us to play for their lunch at the Masonic Centre in Guildford. The Dawnay group played alongside Pandemonium who played "Heal the World" for the first time. It was a really good gig and the groups played brilliantly. We managed to collect some more money to increase our total for Relay for Life too.

Asthma Beach to Beach Bike Ride, Meon Springs, Hampshire - May 19th

This was our second year playing at the over night stop for Asthma UK's Beach to Beach Bike Ride from Bournemouth to Brighton.

Jon took part and finished an hour quicker than last year. There was no bouncy castle this year but there was crazy golf instead :)

Anne came to cover Ellie

Joanna tried to make the crazy golf even harder for Michael !!

Jubilee Street Party, Walton on Thames - June 3rd

This gig came after a recommendation from one of my adult players. Sadly it was extremely wet as only a true British celebration can be.

Staying dry and warm were nearly impossible, but we were very well received and the party goers loved having a go !!

"Pandemonium" and Poppadums (The Return) - June 3rd

After going for a curry a couple of months ago the owner of Fetcham Tandoori suggested we may like to do another fund raising evening.

The only suitable date that did not interfere with exams was today but it was rather tiring doing 2 events in one day !!

However it was well worth it and we had a brilliant evening. With the raffle alone we raised over 200 but are still awaiting the total for the food.

Adults from 3 different groups played together.

Jubilee Beacon Lighting - Polesden Lacey June 4th

Polesden Lacey invited the Community to their beacon lighting ceremony which was a complete sell out. We were postioned on the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens and Downs and had permission to collect for charity.

It was amazing playing in such a fabulous place with so many people appreciating our music. Coldplay's "Clocks", "Hey Soul Sister" and "Bohemiam Rhapsody" pleased the crowds as well as some of the more gentler pieces like "Spanish Eyes" and "You're So Cool".

We were able to see the beacon lit after a short, but impressive firework display.

Surrey Air Ambulance Charity Bike Ride - Dunsfold Park June 10th

Despite the rain we were able to use our new gazebo to keep us dry whilst playing for the cyslists as they arrived back. "Steelicious" played their debut performance alongside "Pandemonium" and Anne came to cover Ellie. Sadly as there were very few cyclists or at least few and very far between them it was not the most thrilling of gigs, but Steelicious kept us amused by their awesome dancing.

Village Day - Bookham June 16th

We were very lucky that it only drizzled slightly on the pans as we drove along the High Street. It was an Olympic theme to the day this year. "Pandemonium" played "Clocks" by Coldplay and "Hey Soul Sister" by Train for the first time on the lorry.

Summer Solstice and Jubilee Evening - Ashtead - June 21st

Initially playing to the cars as they whizzed by on their way home from work with the passengers smiling, honking at us and waving was fun, but it gradually got colder and colder and eventually it rained so we took down our gazebo and headed home.

What a year for weather we are having so far !!

"Twickeree" - Marble Hill Park - Twickenham - June 23rd

What an event !! Held annually since 1935 the Twickeree is a gathering of all scouts of every description in the Twickenham area. We were honoured to play for their opening ceremony as 1,000's of Scouts, Beavers, Adventurers and many more marched before us onto the field where we played . We started with Forrest Gump and worked our way up to Palladio which was a great way to finish as the last person entered the arena.

We were all given special badges to commemorate the occasion.
