Village Day - Saturday - Saturday June 17th

Village Day was very hot this year but all the players turned up on time and played really well despite their usual nerves.

It was lovely having a crowd of people listening even though they were sitting in the hot sun.

Riverhill, Sevenoaks - Sunday June 18th

I thought it would be fun to take my players to somewhere new this year so asked Riverhill Himalayan Gardens if they would like us to perform there. They were very enthusiastic and created a whole Fathers' Day theme around us with limbo competition and grass skirt making too.

Despite the fact it was Fathers' Day many players performed and not only were we able to entertain the people who came to listen, but also provide sessions for them to have a go too.

Buy in Bookham Day - Saturday September 9th

As part of the Heritage Days in Surrey, Bookham organised a "Buy in Bookham Day" and the bands were invited to play for this in the afternoon. We were positioned outside Rohallion Security shop in Church Road and only just fitted onto the pavement.

Players from all bands were represented and we managed to keep the pieces running smoothly from 12.30pm to 3.30pm with a short break for lunch. Carolina's provided us with some really delicious Caribbean Roti's.

The Christmas Markets, Medicine Garden, Cobham - Sunday November 26th

The bands were invited to play at the Medicine Garden again this year as part of their entertainment for the Christmas Markets. It was freezing cold and so very few people were listening other than our own players and their families and friends. However all the adult bands played really well and the organisers were grateful for our performances.

Thank you so much for coming along to play this weekend and braving the cold!  The atmosphere that you helped to create was brilliant.  Please pass on our thanks and appreciation to all the bands and to the two girls singing their socks off at the front.    Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and peace in the New Year.

Christmas at Polesden Lacey- Saturday December 2nd

It was lovely to be undercover at Polesden Lacey this year with heaters, but sadly few people came into our little tent. That may have been because it was full of family and friends. We did create a lovely atmosphere and the pans sounded much better in the relative warmth next to the coffee shop.

Late Night Shopping, Bookham - Thursday December 14th

Playing for Late Night Shopping in the Baptist Church is such a lovely start to Christmas. It's warm and cosy and there's plenty of room for people to join us and sing.
